Private adoptions are listings requested by private parties and are not arranged through the Wallowa County Humane Society. Therefore, the Wallowa County Humane Society is not responsible for ANY information provided to us by the private party under private adoption. Fred Astaire
Meet Fred Astaire! 🐓
Fred is a handsome French Black Copper Maran rooster, hatched June 15, 2026.
Fred is a very sweet, curious little guy with lots of personality. He can be a little skittish when you first reach for him, but once picked up, he settles right into your arms and is perfectly content.
He spends his days outside in the run with his siblings. He has not had much opportunity to free range yet due to safety concerns with some of the older chickens in our flock. Fred isn’t one to go looking for trouble, but he will stand his ground if another chicken pushes him around. He’s confident, curious about everything, and has not started crowing yet.
Fred would make a wonderful addition to the right flock. He is looking for a pet or breeding home only where he can grow up, have some ladies of his own, and live out his life as the handsome gentleman he is.

Bean
Meet Bean! Bean is a 4 month old male kitten that was taken in as a stray. He is a very loving, playful, and sweet baby. Unfortunately he is not adapting to his new life indoors, and needs a home where he can roam inside and outside independently whenever he pleases. Bean is dewormed, however none of his vaccinations have been given. He is also not neutered.

Flower
She is purebred and fixed about two and a half years old.
She has A LOT of High anxiety with other dogs and is protective and could possibly nip or bite out of fear, would not do well with children or other pets.
She needs a home where someone knows the breed and has A LOT of time to break bad habits and train her, she is very sweet and loved but needs to find another home that will give her the attention she needs.
Flower is a Tri Mini Aussie and about 2.5 years old
Needs a home with LOTS and LOTS of time and ability to train her without any distractions and Lots of Love and patience.

Westley
Westley is a gorgeous four-year-old Scotch Collie with a heart of absolute gold. He is a gentle soul who thrives on companionship and loves being close to people. While he loves exploring, he can be a little shy and timid in new situations. Because of his sensitive nature, he is a country dog at heart and will do best living outside of a busy town where he can enjoy the peace of rural life. He is incredibly friendly with both dogs and cats, making him the perfect addition to a peaceful household.

Koos Puppies
I have five adorable puppies looking for their forever homes. I'm asking a $25 rehoming fee for them. They are Bluetick hound/ husky/ heeler mix with a dash of lab and border collie. There are four girls and one little boy. The little boy is the only one who has had his vaccines and due to having a home but then being returned to me due to circumstances. But all of them have been dewormed they have been raised with other dogs as well as cats. They were born on July 14th of 2026 and as of writing this are 8 weeks old. Personality wise when they're not all playing together freedom is a back talker when you tell her no to something she's not supposed to be doing. Being the only boy justice is definitely the head honcho but loves cuddles. Shadow tends to be a loner same with Liberty and as for Spud when you are telling her no to something she will sit down and start covering her face with her front foot like she's being bashful or shy and when you hold her she will literally roll over in your arms on to her back in your arms and just lay there while you scratch her belly. They are definitely very energetic so they will need lots of room to run and play. They can also be very talkative due to being part husky even occasionally howling or in freedom's case baying which it's a very high pitch baying. Please call or text Hannah at 458-213-9118
