Helping lost pets find their way home

When a beloved pet goes missing or you discover a stray, it can be a stressful time. We are here to guide you through the process and help reunite families. Your quick actions can make all the difference.

Get the word out if your pet is lost or if you have found a stray

When a pet is lost or a stray found, contacting people who can help is the first step toward reuniting the pet with it's owner. Here are the crucial first steps we recommend:

  • Contact the Wallowa County Sheriff's Office at 541-426-3131 immediately.
  • Notify local radio station KWVR at (541) 426-4577 to spread the word throughout the community.
  • Call the Wallowa County Humane Society at 541-398-8586 so we can list your pet on our Lost & Found page.
  • Call the local veterinarian offices:
    - Double Arrow: 541-426-4470

    - Enterprise Animal Hospital: 541-426-3331
  • Post on FaceBook under Wallowa County Free Classifieds and Wallowa County Roaming Pets, include a photo of the animal with a description and contact number.

Post a lost or found pet notice

The Wallowa County Humane Society can help with lost and found pets by posting them on our website.  To request a post, please follow the guidelines here so that we have the best chance of reuniting a pet with it's owner.
